September 10 MDA Selected to Design, Manufacture Advanced Navigation Antennas for Airbus Defence and Space
MDA, today announced that it will design and manufacture advanced space-based L-band navigation antennas as part of a hosted payload on the MEASAT-3d satellite, which is currently being built by Airbus. The MDA-built navigation antennas will be integrated on a hosted payload for South Korean KTSAT that will support the Korea Augmentation Satellite System (KASS).

May 10 MDA Awarded Canadian Government Contract to Deliver Search and Rescue Repeaters for Satellites
MDA has been awarded an initial contract value of CAD $39 million with Public Services and Procurement Canada. The initial contract includes the development and manufacturing of 10 flight-ready Search and Rescue/Global Positioning System (SAR/GPS) repeaters to be launched on the U.S. Air Forces GPS III satellites, as well as several automated test systems and simulators.
April 1 Maxar Technologies' MDA to Provide Design Services for the Electronic Warfare Suite for the Canadian Surface Combatant
MDA today announced that it has signed a CAD $4 million contract with Lockheed Martin Canada for the initial phase of design work for the Canadian Surface Combatant (CSC) ship's Electronic Warfare system. Lockheed Martin Canada was selected as the winning bidder for the CSC program by Irving Shipbuilding. Irving Shipbuilding is the CSC Prime Contractor and will build 15 ships at Halifax Shipyard.

MDA today announced that its Forest Alert Service (FAS) space-based capabilities have enabled Asia Pulp & Paper's (APP) pulpwood suppliers to more strategically monitor forest cover loss in conservation areas and meet their commitment to stakeholders that conservation forest areas were not cleared in connection with the production of their products. In less than three years since MDA began providing the monitoring service, APP reports the losses of natural forest cover in their suppliers' forest concessions has dropped from between 5-6 percent to just 0.06 percent in the conservation area of more than 600,000 hectares, demonstrating APP's commitment to responsible forest management.
